Living Room Plan

October 25, 2020

After having gathered the inspiration for our living room, I started pulling pieces together to see what I could achieve, while using items that we already have. Our couch (similar pictured below) we had made custom at a local place here in Vancouver and the coffee table (again, similar pictured below) came from my parent’s furniture design shop (designed by my mum and made in Vancouver!). As per most of my interior decisions, I try to find a balance between quality, lifetime pieces and budget-friendly, I-might-sell-this-on-Marketplace-someday. I would love to have a live olive tree in one of the corners but I’m worried it might not like being beside a chilly window. So I might have to go faux….or try something else. This plan serves as more of a refined inspiration plan and I certainly don’t plan to buy all of these pieces. I do actually hope to find some of the smaller decor items from second hand, antique and vintage stores or smaller, local shops in town. In fact, I’m going to start a mission to find a locally painted canvas for above the couch (or maybe DIY it?)! So without further ado, here’s the (loose) plan:

coffee table | wood bowl | baskets | couch | cream pillow | tan pillow | throw | chair | planter | painting | stool | pouf | book | black candle | cream candle | curtains | floor lamp
